Need to remove a paper jam from a Ricoh MPC 2004, 2504, 3004, 3504 Copier? Follow these steps below:
Step One: Locate right side of machine
Step Two: Open the lever here and the whole door will open
Step Three: The first area to check is the lever at the top, open that up & look for paper, if there is paper pull it out slowly towards you.
Step Four: then check the area below, open it up & again check for paper there, if there is paper pull it out slowly towards you.
Step Five: Then check the blow area, and if there is paper stuck here, pull it towards you, so it comes out all the way.
Step Six: In the area attached to the door, you need to open up, pull the paper out in the same direction and then close it.
Step Seven: close the door in the middle until it clicks shut.
Step Eight: Underneath there is also another door, so again open the lever to check there for any paper.
Step Nine: If there is paper stuck, pull it towards you till it comes out all the way and close the door.
Step Ten: Check the trays, so in this example we are going to use tray 2- open the tray all the way up
Step Eleven: If you can see the guide is all the way back but the paper has a gap then that is probably the reason it is jamming.
Step Twelve: Make sure the paper is right up the end and that the guide is nice and snug. Once you have done that, close the tray and away you go.

“Hi guys, in this video we are going to show you how to remove paper jams from the copier itself. Before you do anything, do not open the trays, if you open the trays, you may tear the paper. So what you want to do is come around to the right hand side, open the lever here, and the whole door opens. The first area to check is up here, open that up, look for paper, this area here, open it up, again look for some paper, close that. Then down here, and as you can see there is a bit of paper stuck here, pull it towards you, so it comes out all the way, then in this area here, you need to open this up, pull the paper out in the same direction, close that, then close the door from the middle till it clicks. Now underneath there is also another door, so again open the lever, as you can see there is a bit of paper stuck, pull it towards you till it comes out all the way and close the door. Once you have done that you want to check the trays, so in this example we are going to use tray 2. So if I open the tray here, open it up all the way and if we have a look from the top here, as you can see, the guide is all the way back, but the paper has a gap and that is probably the reason it is jamming, so what you need to do is make sure the paper is right up the end and that the guide is nice and snug. Once you have done that, close the tray and away you go. Thanks for watching!”
